I have to admit, this animal pregnancy game took me a long time to make. Since there are no exact months or days an animal (or human)! is pregnant for, different tables had different answers.
So I tried to pick animals that have gestation periods that weren’t the same for this game card. And I have to tell you, this fun baby shower game is not easy!
Luckily there are one-to-one matching answers so there’s only one correct length of time for each animal. I was truly amazed at the average number of days some of our favorite animals are pregnant!
Just like our celebrity baby match printable, there is no physical item, just a PDF file to download at the bottom of this post.
How to Use the Animal Gestation Game Printable
Included in the zipped folder below are four different animal pregnancy guessing game sheets plus an answer sheet.
I wanted to include print files that you could use at any baby shower (just like our baby shower Disney parents match game). One has a blue background for a boy baby shower. The second animal gestation baby shower game is pink for a girl baby shower you may be hosting.
And then I included a plain black and white version along with a greenery animal pregnancy quiz for a gender neutral shower.
Once you’ve downloaded the printable games on a desktop or laptop, print as many copies as you have baby shower guests on a home printer or send them to a local print shop.
During the game time of the shower, pass out the game to each guest along with a pen or pencil. Set a timer for about 3 minutes.
The guests’ knowledge of animal pregnancy lengths will be tested for sure! Have them write the letter that corresponds to the animal gestation periods in months or days on the blank line beside the matching animal.
Once the timer goes off, go over the answers from the printable answer key and have the guests score their own quiz. The guest with the most correct answers wins a baby shower prize!
The blue and pink game cards even have a cute Mother elephant with her baby (y’all know I love our cute birth stat elephant)!
