Instant download of a baby shower Mad Libs printable free in four different designs to choose from! The baby shower guests will love this fun game!
Looking for some more free printable baby shower games??!! Today I have a unique game that if you are as old as I am, might remember playing a lot as a child (it was one of the best games, right??!!).
Mad libs is a party game and can get pretty funny! There is a short story, or in this case, a letter to the expectant mother, and guests will have to pick different parts of speech to fill in blank spaces without knowing the context.
Then the completed baby mad libs are read aloud and all the baby shower guests have a good laugh!
Once you download the digital items, mark them off of your baby shower checklist.
There is no physical product, just digital files (just like our baby shower bingo game) of the word game to download at the bottom of the post.

You only need a few things that you probably have at home to print and play this fun baby shower game. I suggest just printing a set of sheets on plain white copy paper on any printer.
There are four different pages in the printable PDF pack below. The first page is a plain black and white game card that will go with any shower theme or if you don’t have a colored home printer.
Then the other free printable games have different colors on them to go with different baby shower themes.
A blue color design for a baby boy shower, a pink version for baby girl baby shower parties, and a game board with greenery for a more elegant option!
And the last sheet is the answer key for guests to write in the corresponding words.
Print out as many copies of the story sheet as you have guests and half as many answer sheets (since they are only half sheets).
How to Play Baby Mad Libs Game
There are a few ways to play mad libs with a large group, depending on how many guests you have.
One way to is to divide guests into groups of two (this also makes a great icebreaker with our What’s in your Purse printable with friends or family who may not know each other well!). Pass out a mad lib baby sheet and blank answer paper along with a pencil to each guest.
Each person will fill in the answer key with the types of words that are asked, ie parts of speech like noun, verb, adjective, etc.
Then the ladies switch papers and each fills in the mad lib sheet with the list of words from the other’s list with the corresponding number and word. That way they won’t be filling in their own game.
Once they both have them completed, they take turns reading them out loud to each other or go around in a circle and everyone reads theirs aloud.
Or you could also play it as a whole group. The New Mom to be can read the answer sheet of words needed out loud and guests can just shout out words. She’ll pick which word she likes and you or someone else writes it in the blank of the mad libs template.
Then you or you can pick someone to read the mad libs card out loud to the entire group!
Then play another one of our printable games, like Baby Jeopardy or Baby Celebrity Names.
