Can you believe the school season is about to start?? If you are a teacher or homeschool teacher, you are probably frantically trying to get school worksheets ready for the first day of school.
I’ve given you a lot of color by number sheets in the past, but never a school theme. So here you go!
These color by number worksheets are a great way to keep kids having fun while working on fine motor skills, number recognition, color recognition, and art.
You can use these color by number school printables for morning work, math centers, independent work, or just as a fun school activity!
Simply put out crayons, colored pencils, or markers along with the printed bts color by number pages and let them have at it!
There is no physical product. The free digital download of the coloring sheets can be found at the bottom of the post.
How to Use Color-by-Number Worksheets
On each fun coloring page, there are corresponding crayons with different colors and numbers at the bottom of the printable. If kids can read their colors, have them color in the crayons by themselves or read them a loud and instruct them to color in the specific colors.
Then the preschool, kindergarten, or elementary aged students simply match the different numbers to the different color key and color in the spaces!
The mystery pictures that have to do with back to school will start coming to life as they color.

Let’s take a quick peek at what kind of hidden images are found in these number activity sheets that are in the workbook.
When kids are first starting to learn their numbers, this first coloring page is perfect. By only using numbers 1 through 6, the kiddo will decode a hidden picture of a backpack.
Students will also have lots of fun finding an apple and caterpillar and a student walking to school.
The other three color worksheets include hidden images of a school bus, pencil and protractor, and a lunch box!
