Looking for the best Christian Christmas movies to watch this holiday season? This list of movies celebrates the true meaning of Christmas!
In my last post, I gave you a Christmas movie bucket list of secular movies. So today I thought I’d switch gears and give you a list of the best Christian Christmas movies!
It is actually so reassuring that there are more new ones than old ones! More and more Christmas movies are coming out that are faith based to watch on your favorite streaming service, like Netflix, Pureflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.
The majority of the Christian movies below are good for the whole family, but some are better for older kids.
I also made you a printable with all of the names of the Christmas Christian movies so you can print it out and check off the movies as you watch them!
Honestly, my favorite nights during the Christmas season are cuddling under a blanket with my dogs with a cup of hot chocolate and watching an inspiring Christmas movie with my husband and kids.

We have a Christmas Eve tradition of going to church, picking up takeout, opening one present, and then all sitting together to watch a movie.
As the kids grow older, the movies change, but the joy of the tradition always remains! I think last Christmas we watched Elf, but I’m voting for one of the movies on this list this year!
Best Christian Christmas Movies List

Black Nativity (PG 2013) – A teenager visits New York City and has a heartwarming tale.
The Heart of Christmas (2011) – It wouldn’t be a Christian movie list without a movie starring Candace Cameron Bure. This emotional movie is based on a true story about a woman realizing the most important priorities in life.

Christmas for a Dollar (PG 2013) – Based during the Great Depression, each member of a family has to come up with a special gift for under a dollar.
Chasing the Star (2017) – so this is not rated all that well, but it is a movie about the three wise men searching for baby Jesus through the desert.
Homeless for the Holidays (2009) – About an arrogant wealthy man who loses his job and has to work at a fast food place to pay the bills.
Angels in the Snow (2015) – Another one of those great films if you love Lifetime cringe worthy cheesey movies that you just make you smile! This family needs a miracle on their road to recovery.

Baby in a Manger (2019) – A lost infant is found in a nativity scene manger.
Veggie Tales – The Best Christmas Gift – Veggie Tales were my son’s favorite short films when he was young. My husband and I enjoyed watching them also! They always end with a good message and kids really like the singing vegetables!
The Little Drummer Boy (1968) – With the animation of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Little Drummer Boy is about a boy who meets the three wise men on their way to Bethlehem.
Narnia (PG 2005) – There are a lot of biblical parallels in the Chronicles of Narnia movies by C.S. Lewis.
