Instant download of Christmas bible trivia printables to use during the holiday season! See who knows the most about the bible.
I have been having fun making printable games for you and this time I wanted to give my fellow Christians some Christmas trivia questions all about the Christmas story.
Trivia games are a fun way to learn more about the bible and to see who knows the most! What do you actually know about King Herod and the angel Gabriel??!!
You can use these free Christmas bible trivia printables at a bible study, Sunday school class, Women’s Christmas dinner, or for a family game night with your immediate or extended family members!
Some of the Christmas bible quiz questions are easy that most adults and kids of all ages would know, but there are quite a few difficult questions that I had to look up!

What’s Included in Christmas Bible Trivia Printables
I was only going to make a one page write in printable bible trivia questions about the birth of Jesus Christ, but then I decided to add some printable game cards in case you prefer to play trivia games that way.
The first printable of the file lists all of the questions and a line next to them. You can put a timer on and then have the person who gets the most correct in that time limit win.
Or you can have the Christmas bible trivia game open-ended and read through the provided answer key once everyone is done.
Most of the questions will be from the New Testament, but a few are about the Old Testament and prophecies.
I will admit I learned some important things about the wise men that I didn’t know before!
The trivia questions include:
- Which Old Testament prophet said that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem?
- What’s the name of the town where Jesus was born?
- What was the name of Jesus’ mother?
- Who were the “three wise men”?
- What gifts did the wise men bring?
- Which animal carried Mary before she gave birth?
- Who was the emperor of Rome when Jesus was born?
- How did the shepherds in the field hear of Jesus’ birth?
- What did Jesus sleep in after he was born?
- Who was Mary engaged to when she became pregnant?
- What was the name of the angel who told Mary she would give birth to Jesus?
- Where did Jesus grow up?
- Which King of Israel was Jesus Christ’s ancestor?
- What animals were present during Christ’s birth?
- Who spread the news about Jesus’ birth through the City of David?
- How many days after his birth did Mary and Joseph give him the name Jesus?
- How far did Mary & Joseph have to travel to Bethlehem?
- Who was trying to kill baby Jesus?
- Where did Mary, Joseph, and Jesus flee to after Bethlehem?
- What name for Jesus means “God with us”?
- At what age and where did the wise men visit Jesus?
- What did the wise men follow to find Jesus?
As you can see, there are no questions asking about Santa Claus!
In addition to the question sheet with fill in answers, there are four sheets of the same questions as cards.
If you want the cards a little sturdier, I think the best way to print them is on cardstock. Then cut around each game card so you have a deck of cards. The question is at the top of each card and the answer is at the bottom.
It’s easier to play a fun game with a group of people with cards and teammates sometimes! Read the question a loud and see if your team member can answer.
Another great way to use the trivia cards is during dinner time or when you’re making Christian Christmas crafts with your kids. Kind of like conversation starters, use one card each night to teach your children about the true meaning of Christmas.
Then dive a little deeper and find the bible verse that mentions the answer to the question!
Or another fun time to go over the bible trivia is while you have everyone together decorating Christmas trees. You can also try to sing the Christmas carol that talks about the fact you are learning! Almost every famous Christmas song mentions the good news of the birth of Jesus in some way (think Silent Night!).
Then grab our free Christmas song trivia printables, Christmas lyrics booklet, and more printable Christmas games, and have even more fun together!
