Don’t you think that a holiday scavenger hunt is a fun activity for the whole family?
It’s also a fun way to get young kids and even older kids to work together and get off electronics for some easy holiday fun.
The best part is that this fun activity can be done anytime during the month of December.
You don’t have to do the Christmas scavenger hunt game on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, you have fun with this Christmas themed scavenger hunt anytime.

How to Use Christmas Scavenger Hunt Printable

Simply download the free printable scavenger hunts below and print one or both on any computer. I have provided two different versions since I wanted the entire family to be able to play!
One printable has a list of Christmas season items along with small pictures to find next to checkboxes.
The second Christmas scavenger hunt game has pictures of the items next to the words so younger kids will be able to play easily!
If you have a large group, divide all the guests into small groups and give each group a copy of the printable Christmas hunt.
Set a time limit and boundaries on how far they are allowed to go. For little kids, you might just have them stay in the house, but for older kids and adults, a scavenger hunt is a great way to get them out of the house!
They will need to find different Christmas items such as a Santa hat, Christmas lights, candy cane, poinsettia, hot cocoa, an ornament, a small gift, and more. If you want to add an incentive for teenagers to compete in the friendly competition, you might want to have a few fun prizes ready!
You can run the Christmas activity in a few different ways. The family members can find the items in photos, on the Christmas dinner table, in the neighbor’s decorations on cups, etc.
The more creative they get, the more items they’ll find and boxes they will check off.
Another fun idea, is to make use of the Christmas treasure hunt clues and do a Christmas photo scavenger hunt.
Each person or one person in the group (if doing groups) can take a picture of the holiday items on the list with a cell phone and share it with the rest of the family members or friends once they are finished or the allotted time has run out.
