The last hidden word search printable puzzle I gave you was for St. Patrick’s Day, but today we are moving on to the Mexican holiday on May 5th – Cinco de Mayo!
So this new free printable Cinco de Mayo word search puzzle is great for classroom use with your students or at home with your own children. Word searches are a great way to have kids work on fine motor skills, letter recognition, and reading while not even knowing!

There are two different Cinco de Mayo word search printables to download. Choose which one you want based on the difficulty level.
Ideally, you would use this fun Cinco de Mayo activity along with teaching the kids about the Cinco de Mayo celebration and the battle of Puebla. This is a great website to learn more about the Cinco de Mayo Holiday and a fun way to learn about the fifth of May!
One word search printable is more for beginners or young children with a smaller puzzle area and a line for their first name and the date. This printable Cinco de Mayo word search would be perfect for the younger grades if you are a teacher.
The word lists are at the bottom of the worksheets and the students can cross out each Cinco de Mayo word as they find it. The easy word search has hidden words that are up and down or right to left (vertical and horizontal only). The list of words includes battle, hat, music, taco, parade, five, Mexico, and soldier.
Then I have a more intermediate Cinco de Mayo printable with a larger word search area. Perfect activity for adults and older students of elementary school (great lesson plans for students probably 3rd or fourth grade and above).
The Cinco de Mayo vocabulary words can be found horizontal, vertical, and diagonal and include more important words associated with the celebration of Mexican culture including fifth, sombrero, mole, festival, victory, pinata, and France.
