10 FREE Dad SVG Cut Files for Father’s Day!

My last few posts have been all about celebrating Mom (dog Mom and cheer Mom SVG files), but today we’re switching gears to love on Dad!

I made two all new Dad SVG digital files for you to make Dad some extra special gifts with an electronic cutting machine.

My kids have made their father Dad shirts ever since they were little and we have used a variety of methods! Last year we used Infusible Ink to make a fun Dad tshirt and we are still debating on what to do for this Father’s Day.

There is no physical item associated with this post, just a digital item to download at the bottom of the post where the download link is.

Crafts Using Dad SVG

You can use these Dad cut files for so many craft projects. It doesn’t even have to be a Father’s Day gift, think birthdays and Christmas presents too!

Here are some ideas I came up with to use either the Best Dad Ever SVG or #1 DAD SVG (click on links to see the full tutorial!):

• Apply the SVG to a mug with permanent vinyl
• Make a shirt for Dad
• Make Cricut ornaments
• Use the new hat press to make a Dad hat
• Make a Dad tumbler

Tips for Using the DAD SVG Files in Cricut Design Space

Once you’ve downloaded the free Dad SVG file below, upload it into a blank canvas on Cricut Design Space or your design software of choice.

If you are new to CDS, make sure to check out my series of Cricut Design Space 101 tutorials to get started.

The download will have both files (Best Dad Ever SVG and #1 DAD SVG). Once in Cricut Design Space, click on the ungroup in the upper right hand corner and you can delete any file you don’t want.

The sections on each individual file will be separate so you can move them around or change the size if you want. Before you cut, you can attach all the same colors together if you want so they cut out exactly as you see them.

To make a Best Dad Ever mug, cut out the free SVG cut file out of permanent vinyl and apply it to a cleaned mug with transfer tape.

There is no physical product, only a digital download of the Dad SVG cut files to use with your design programs.

The digital files will download in a zipped folder. Simply extract all the cheerleader Father’s Day SVG files from the zip file to access the individual file type: SVG file, DXF file, EPS file, JPG format, and PNG file (transparent background). No PDF files.

Cricut Design Space prefers the SVG format. I’ve never used a Silhouette, but I’m told one of these will work as a Silhouette file.

These different file types should work in Silhouette Studio, Silhouette Designer Edition, Adobe Illustrator Draw, Sure Cuts a Lot, Corel Draw, and Cricut Design Space!
