Glass Sweet Jars Tutorial
Make sure to watch the video tutorial to see how quick and easy it is!
Find a file in Cricut Design Space you would like to put on the lid or scroll down to download my free file. Upload the file into Cricut Design Space. I like to add a circle the size of the candy jar lid (it’s about 3.2 inches) onto my canvas so I can see how big to make the cut.
If you need help in Cricut Design Space, feel free to browse my CDS 101 series for additional video tutorials.
The type of vinyl you use is up to you. I opted to go with removable vinyl because I want to be able to change it for all the holidays! Like Christmas calories don’t count, Valentine’s calories don’t count, etc!!
Apply the colored vinyl you want to a Cricut mat and cut on Vinyl setting.
Once everything is cut, weed off the extra vinyl.
Applying Vinyl to Candy Containers
Clean off the metal lid with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry.
I trimmed my pieces and lined them up. Peel off the back of some transfer tape and apply it on top of the vinyl.
Scrape it down well.
I cut off the bottom line so I could apply them separately. I like to lay them on the lid to see where I want to place them.
** Note – these candy jars with lids screw on a specific way. Make sure to note which is the bottom of the lid when it’s screwed on so you know which way is up.
Peel off the back of the top piece and apply to the lid. Scrape down and then peel off the transfer tape.
Repeat for the bottom line and also apply the piece of candy (I just did this with my fingers!)
That’s it! Fill it with M&Ms or candy corn or any other candy that you love! Now you have cute candy containers from Dollar Tree Halloween supplies that you can change for every holiday if you want.

I love that at the end of your post you have a print here for the directions. I used to print the directions to projects I wanted to make. 3 filing cabinets later I was drowning in paper. So I went through the papers and removed 75% of them . But with yours being so compact I never have to get rid of it. THANK YOU !

I'm so glad they are helpful! I love printing directions too. My Ad company worked hard on creating something that would do that and is easy for bloggers to use!
