If you have young kids in the house, then you are still in the age of Easter eggs and Easter egg hunts. Those were pretty fun days, that I miss now that my kiddos are older.

During the Easter season we used to have about three Easter egg hunts between our house, my parent’s backyard, and sometimes my brother’s or a church event or even a community Easter egg hunt.

The kids would get up early to come down and find the special treats in their individual Easter baskets and then would wait for the adults to get up to go on the egg hunt.

We always had the tradition of hiding coins or chocolate inside the Easter eggs which my kids loved! We have a huge cup for all the loose change we have and it adds up over the year and makes the night before Easter quick and easy!

Then last year we started spreading the Easter celebration to the neighborhood and started egging our neighbors (just like elfing your neighbors during Christmas time!).

I think Easter is a lot easier to prepare for than Santa Claus and the kids get just as excited about getting Easter treats. And they even get egg-tra excited if they get an Easter Bunny note!

How to Use the Note from the Easter Bunny

You can do a few things with the printable digital download bunny note.

If you don’t want your kids to have their Easter baskets before you get up, you can simply place the Easter bunny notes inside Easter cards that you leave out on a table. That way excited children have something to open as soon as they wake up.

Then once you are up and ready you can hunt for the eggs together.

Or you can put a few little presents that don’t fit inside Easter eggs inside their basket along with the Easter bunny letter. Once they read their personalized letter they will know that an egg hunt is to come!

If you don’t have an Easter pail for your kids, Amazon has some cute ones like this one with bunny ears or this one that you can even get personalized with your kid’s name.

Pack the basket or pail with some fun Easter activities and the free printable letter and put it out somewhere where your kids will see it in the morning (either in their room if you are quiet or in the kitchen!). You can even add a cute Easter tag if you want!

If you like to go all out on Easter Day, you can put down a bunny footprint or two leading to the Easter basket or out your door!
