Instant download of Elf on the Shelf camping printable props. Create a cute camping scene with tents, backpack, camp fire, and more!
Another set of Elf on the Shelf ideas for you! This time our funny elf is going camping!
Have fun setting up a return spot from the North Pole with these free printable camping props. Use just a few of the small props or all to create a more elaborate scene with your scout elf.
The month of December is already stressful enough for a busy parent, throw in having to think of creative ideas to carry on the Elf Christmas tradition and you might start pulling your hair out!
So grab these four pages of camping printables below and set up the scene in a few minutes.
If you are new to the Elf on the Shelf tradition, here’s what goes on… Each family or child has a magical elf that watches them during the day and then reports back to Santa at the North Pole each night.
This is why the scout elves end up in a new spot each morning. Kids are not supposed to touch the Elf or he or she will lose its powers.
Kids want to be on the nice list so they will be on their best behavior during the holiday season until their elf goes back home on Christmas Eve. (Add a DIY Santa Cam to increase the good behavior ten fold, lol!)

There will be a download button to click below for the camping Elf printables. The PDF file consists of four pages.
For best results, I’d recommend printing on cardstock so the camping scene will be more sturdy. But using white copy paper will also work!
One sheet includes all the camping accessories such as a map, flashlight, mug, thermos, campfire, smores, a guitar, compass, and backpack.
Then there are three pages for making two different tents. One small tent and one larger tent.
To put together the small tent, cut a long all the outside black lines of the green tent. Then fold over on every back line to form a crease.
Apply double-sided tape or glue to the green flaps.
Then stick the flaps to the white side of the other side of the tent to create a triangle shape.
To put together the larger camping tent, cut out all the pieces from the remaining two pages. Fold along the black lines to create creases.
Apply adhesive like craft glue, double-sided tape, or a glue stick to all the small flaps that were folded on each piece.
Attach the triangle piece to the end of the tent side and then attach to the other side.
Attach the last two sides together so you have a tent!
Some of the camping extras have a small piece to help stand the item up. Make a small slit where the black lines are and slide the piece in. It’s might take a little finagling, but I found the flatter the bottom, the better they stand up!
Then find your Elf a nice return spot and set up the fun camping scene.
You can always make a more elaborate scene, by using popsicle sticks for the fire and some fabric or a sock for an elf sleeping bag. Or add cotton balls to a small stick to create larger smores!
