Free Christmas Pencil Gift Tag Printable: Perfect for Classmates or Students!

Use this free Christmas pencil tag printable to give out cute classroom gifts! Christmas gifts for classmates can be quick and easy.

I am always overjoyed when I unpack my Christmas boxes and find that I had bought some cute after Christmas items (that I forgot about!).  It’s bordering on early Christmas gift opening for me!

That is what happened this year when I found a cute pack of pencils.  I remember finding them at Michael’s for super cheap after Christmas last year.  I didn’t know what I would use them for, but they were a good deal, so I had to buy them, right??

So when I stumbled upon them the other day, I knew they would be perfect little gifts to hand to my little one’s classmates. All they needed were a cute pencil gift tag and they’d be set to go. 

I have to say, I’m a little in love with how cute they turned out!

I can’t take credit for that cute little penguin.  I was browsing over on one of my favorite sites, www.pixabay.com, and came across him and knew he’d be perfect.

I added the wording, printed them out and attached the pencil.  Super easy and budget-friendly whether your child wants to give a gift to classmates or you’re a teacher wanting to give a little something to your students!

Print out the free pencil Christmas tag printable on white cardstock.  Cut them out.  I love my paper trimmer, but you can always use scissors! 

You have two options to attach the pencil tags to pencils.  First, you can simply put some tape over the pencil.  I prefer the Gift Wrap Scotch tape since it’s a little clearer than regular tape.  

Or you can make a little pocket for the pencil.  I just cut two slits about 0.50 to 0.75 inch across the pencil tags with an X-acto knife and slid the pencil through.

I did not put a “From” on these pencil tags for students because I like to teach my children about giving without recognition, and I think the holidays are the perfect time for that lesson. 

These pencil gifts will be put in the Friday folders as a surprise for his classmates.
