If you have young children or are preparing a Sunday school lesson, then a lesson on the fruit of the spirit is probably high on your list. So todays free printable coloring pages are all fruit of the spirit themed and a great way to help your little ones explore the beautiful virtues outlined in the Bible while nurturing their creativity.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
As part of your lesson plans at home or during church service, you can concentrate on one or two characteristics each week. Then at the end of the bible lesson unit, you can put all the completed pages together to make a fruit of the spirit coloring book!

Our printable set includes nine coloring pages, with each fruits of the spirit coloring page featuring a beautifully illustrated fruit along with its corresponding virtue.
Your kids will have so much fun coloring while you engage them in meaningful conversations about the importance of cultivating these fruits in their lives.
What is the Fruit of the Spirit
The Fruit of the Spirit is a profound concept that comes straight from the Bible, specifically from Galatians 5:22-23. In this passage, the apostle Paul beautifully describes the characteristics that should be evident in the lives of believers.
These qualities are not just a checklist of virtues to strive for; they are the natural result of a life surrendered to the Holy Spirit’s work within us (such good news, right??!!).
So let’s first talk about each one of the fruits and their meanings. Each coloring sheet will have two half sheet coloring pages if you want to cut them in half.

The first fruit of the spirit coloring page has to do with Love.
Love: At the core of the Christian faith lies the commandment to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. God’s love for us, demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus, serves as the perfect example. We are called to extend this love to those around us, regardless of their actions or attitudes towards us.
Joy: Joy is an abiding sense of delight and contentment that transcends hard seasons of life. It springs forth from a deep-rooted relationship with God and His promises. Joy allows us to rejoice even in difficult times, knowing that God is in control.
Peace: In a world filled with chaos and strife, peace is a precious gift from God. It allows us to navigate life’s storms with a calm assurance, knowing that God holds the ultimate authority over all things.
Patience Or Forbearance: Patience is the ability to endure hardships, delays, and difficult people without losing hope or succumbing to frustration or revenge. It is the fruit that helps us trust God’s timing and purposes.

Kindness: Kindness reflects the heart of God, as it involves showing compassion, gentleness, and generosity to others. It involves showing acts of love, empathy, and care, going the extra mile to make someone’s day brighter. By practicing kindness, we imitate Christ’s selfless love.
Goodness: Goodness encompasses moral excellence and integrity. It involves such things as doing what is right, even when it is challenging or unpopular. Goodness is reflected in our words, actions, and character,
Faithfulness: Faithfulness speaks of loyalty, trustworthiness, and steadfastness. It is a commitment to keeping our promises and remaining devoted to God and others, even in the face of adversity.
Gentleness: Gentleness is the opposite of harshness. It embodies humility, meekness, and a compassionate spirit. It allows us to approach others with tenderness, understanding, and sensitivity.

Self-control: Self control is the ability to exercise restraint over our thoughts, desires, and actions. It empowers us to make wise choices, resist temptation, and align our lives with God’s will.
I hope these coloring pages provide a creative way to introduce these concepts to our little ones while spending quality time together. Make sure to also grab our free advent bible verses printable and the nativity story activity sheets if you love free Christian printables!
