Are you a fan of a good word puzzle? I have to admit I’m addicted to a new word search app. There is just something about finding hidden words that is relaxing.
And with Fall almost here I wanted to give you another new fun printable that you can use at home with your children or at school with students. I think word searches are a great way to have kids work on letter recognition, fine motor skills, and reading while not even knowing!
So no long blog post or tutorial today, just a place to download two different Halloween word search PDF and their answer key at the end of this post.

What’s Included In Free Printable Halloween Word Search
There are four different sheets to download. Choose which one you want based on the difficulty level.
There is one word search printable that is more for beginners or younger kids with a smaller puzzle area. This one would be perfect for the younger grades if you are a teacher.
The word lists are at the bottom of the worksheets and the students can cross out each Halloween item as they find it. The easy Halloween word search has fun words that are up and down or right to left (vertical and horizontal only).
Kids will have fun finding words bat, cat, Halloween, spooky, boo, costume, October, treat, witch, candy, ghosts, pumpkin and vampire.
These free printables, along with our fall word search sheets, would be great for both classroom use and a Halloween party!
Then I have a more intermediate Halloween printable with a larger word search area. Perfect for adults, older students, and probably 3rd grade and above.
The different words can be found horizontal, vertical, and diagonal and include more Halloween-themed words such as black cat, jack o lantern, and skeleton.

And you know the Halloween word search puzzles are fun when my middle school aged son asked if he could do them on his own! They were just laying out and he saw them and wanted to find the hidden words!
