You can print the pages on white cardstock (which is more sturdy for acrylic paint), colored cardstock, or construction paper if you want a colored background. If you use colored paper, you can use white paint.
All ten blank art sheets like this handprint alien are in color and then all ten pages of what the handmade gift can look like with a handprint on it.
But the colored printable template is just for inspiration, kids can use whatever color paint they want!
To make handprint crafts, put some paint on a paper plate and let it disperse so it will be big enough to fit a hand of kids of all ages. Or use a foam brush to apply paint to the palm and fingers of young kids.
For young children, you or family members (get the siblings involved!) will probably have to help them hold their hand down flat in the paint.
Let the kids decide and get creative on which paint color they want to use!
To add even more creativity set out additional craft supplies such as googly eyes, foam stickers, a black marker, or pom poms along with crayons to add their own special touch!
They don’t have to use green paint to make this Dad, You’re roar-some handprint dinosaur Father’s day card. Using Dad’s favorite colors is a great way to make the artwork extra special!
There are many different options for the easy craft that your child can choose to make for this special occasion. There’s something for every kind of dad out there, from the sports fan to the superhero lover.
Two of the handprint gifts have the option to insert a photo of Dad (Super Dad and Best Dad Ever Award). But your kids could also draw a picture of Dad if they choose!
After they have their little handprints on the worksheet, they can even write a special message on the bottom or back side of the white paper.
I’m sure the finished product will be a cherished keepsake that they can hang up in their office or at home.
