Instant download of a Happy Halloween banner printable. Print the digital file below on any computer and you have an easy Halloween decoration!
Halloween is quickly approaching and I am so excited about the cooler weather that October brings around here. And also to start decorating for Halloween!
I am not a huge Halloween decorator (I save it all for Christmas decor!) so I don’t like to spend a lot of money. But I still like some cute Halloween decor up so this year I decided to make a Happy Halloween banner.
Y’all know I love my Cricut and will usually make cool banners with it, but I know not all of you have one or maybe just don’t want to bust it out.
That’s why I’m sharing this printable banner so all you need is a printer and some cardstock or paper. Easy Peasy! And since I always have a problem deciding between things, I have two free Halloween printables!
One is a spookier free printable Happy Halloween banner and then the other is a colorful cute Boo banner!
Take your pick or print and hang up both banners at home, in your classroom on a bulletin board, at a Halloween party, or even in your office.
These printable Halloween decorations also make great little gifts to add to a boo bucket to leave at your neighbor’s front door!

How to Use Happy Halloween Banner Printable
First, let’s take a quick look at how to set up the free Halloween banner printable.
I like to print banners on white cardstock so they are a little bit more sturdy than regular copy paper. The boo banner printable will only need two sheets.
The Happy Halloween banner is much longer and will need 5 blank pages of material.
Then simply cut out each banner pendant. I love to use my paper cutter for all of the long straight edges. A paper trimmer is an easy way to save time!
Then I cut the shorter edges with a pair of scissors.
Hanging DIY Banners
Once you have all of the banner pieces, you can put them up in a few different ways.
For the shorter Boo banner, I taped a piece of ribbon to the backside of each letter (just make sure it is laid down in reverse order, I have learned the hard way!)
Then tape the cardstock banner anywhere you want some extra decoration.
I left a white background on this banner to save on printer ink, but I did add a little glitter to make it pop!
Another option is to use small clothespins or hooks to hang the free Halloween decorations. I found some basic wood clothespins and also cute Halloween pins at my local Dollar Tree.
This way you can hang a long piece of ribbon or twine up first and then simply clip each letter of the horizontal banners on with the mini clothespins. Alternatively, you can glue or tape the clothespin to the backside of each pendant so you can’t see it.
There are four image pendants. Two haunted house images that I put on either side of the word Happy. And then there are two witch feet that I hung on either side of Halloween. But you can mix and match or not even use them!
Since this Happy Halloween banner is pretty long, you can hang it in two lines…
Or if you have the space, one really long line.
The lighting in my family room is really bad, eek!
I do love these cute witch in a pot clips! I left them blank but you or your kids could definitely color them in.
Adding just a little Halloween decor is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit!
Since there are a bunch of similar letters in Happy and Halloween you could always swap the letters with spider webs on them in the other word.
Another option of attaching the banner pieces is to make a small hole punch in each and pull the ribbon through. I’d recommend taping the back so the letters stay straight!
