It’s that time of the month where my craft blogging friends and I have new free SVG files for you. This month’s theme is warm and cozy SVG files!
When I think of being warm and cozy, the first thing that comes to mind is HOT COCOA! Regular hot chocolate, peppermint hot cocoa, spiked hot cocoa, whichever, I love them all, especially when watching cheesy Christmas movies!!
So today I have a But First Hot Cocoa SVG file for you to craft with. This cut file would be perfect for vinyl mugs, aprons, signs, or even shirts!
You can use the different types of files for any cutting machine (like Silhouette Cameo) and any Cricut machines- Cricut Joy, Cricut Explore family, or the Cricut Maker line to make an end physical item.

Materials & Instructions for But First Hot Cocoa Mug

- mug or Infusible Ink mugs if you want to make a sublimation mug with Infusible Ink
- permanent vinyl or Oracal 651
- Cricut cutting machine or other electronic cutting machine like Silhouette
- transfer tape
- free but first hot cocoa design file – see below for download link
Download the hot chocolate SVG file from below and upload it into your design software (Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio).
Size it to fit your mug. Cut the hot cocoa image out of permanent vinyl in whichever colors you want and weed off the extra vinyl.
Clean the mug off with rubbing alcohol.
Use transfer tape to apply the hot cocoa sentiment on your mug. Let the vinyl cure for 72 hours before you get it wet.
Enjoy your new hot cocoa mug with one of these delicious hot chocolate recipes or gift it to someone else (like in a You’ve Been Elfed basket!)
