This tutorial uses all paper pieces, but you could definitely add your own flare! Use googly eyes to make the leprechaun more animate, mini pom poms as the buttons, or glitter glue.
Everyone can glue their own leprechaun craft onto paper bags to make puppets or to use as treat bags at a St. Patrick's Day party!

Instructions
- Download and print out the leprechaun template printable from the bottom of the post on regular copy paper. Cut each piece of the template out with scissors. Place the templates on the corresponding colored paper and trace the shapes out with a pencil. Cut the pieces out with scissors.
- Start by putting together the leprechaun's hat (the two shapes on the top left corner of the template). Glue the rectangle cut out along the longer side of the shape that looks like a trapezoid. To put the hat belt together, cut slits along both sides of the small square (yellow buckle) and insert the black band strip through the slits.
- Glue the hat belt down the middle of the hat. Cut off the extra sides of the belt if necessary.
- Now on to the leprechaun head. Attach the two triangle-shaped cutouts (ears) on both sides of the big round head cutout.
- Glue the nose (single round cutout), eyes (2 small round pieces), and eyebrows (two small rectangles) on the head pattern.
- Attach the head pattern on the beard shape (oval).
- The next step is to attach the hat pattern on the top side of the leprechaun head.
- Now move to the leprechaun's shirt. Attach the two big rectangle cutouts to each side of the big square (shirt).
- Glue the four small round cutouts AKA buttons on the bottom of the shirt pattern (below the triangles).
- Next attach the shoe cutouts to the leg cutouts and the hand pieces to the sleeve cutouts.
- Starting to look like a little leprechaun, right?? Now attach the head pattern on the top side of the shirt.
- Then attach the leg patterns on the bottom side of the shirt. Note: if you want the arms and legs to move you could always use mini brads or fasteners to attach them.
- The final step is to attach the arm patterns to each side of the shirt.
- I hope your mischievous leprechaun doesn't get into too much trouble!
