How to Make Nativity Paper Craft
Use colored craft papers, cardstock, and some glue to make a cute nativity scene.
Tools
- Pencil
- Craft Glue
- Scissors
- Sharpie
Instructions
- Print out the free template pattern (download at bottom of the post) on white copy paper. Cut out the patterns. Trace the template patterns on the colors of the craft paper you want for each piece and cut them out with a pair of scissors.
- There will be three head cut outs. Use a brown or black Sharpie to color in hair for Mary and hair and a beard for Joseph (and hair for baby Jesus if you want!).
- Cut a horizontal slit near the middle of the top part of Joseph's headscarf.
- Insert the top of Joseph's head through the bottom of the slit. Use glue to attach the head to the scarf.
- The next step is making a cylinder shape from Joseph's body cutout. Add glue to the overlapped sides to secure the shape.
- Glue the head pattern near the top of the cylinder.
- Repeat the above steps to make paper Mary.
- To make the manger, glue the zigzag border along a long side of the manger base (long rectangle).
- Roll and glue the short sides to make a manger. Glue the small pieces of baby Jesus together.
- Now on to the stable! Take the stable cutouts and make folds along all the folding/score lines.
- Fold along the score lines and glue the sides to their adjacent flaps.
- Fold the roof cutout in half to form a crease and then glue it to the top of the paper stable.
- Place the papercraft Mary and Joseph inside.
- Put the paper manger right in front of Mary and Joseph paper figures.
- Place a piece of crumpled paper inside the manger as the hay and then place the baby Jesus figure on top.
- Attach the glitter star to the top of the stable and you're done!
