Are you ready for summer??!! My blogging friends and I definitely are, which is why we made this month’s FREE SVG file blog hop’s theme SUMMER!

Our summers here in Sacramento tend to get really hot so we like to spend time in our pool. A few years ago we updated our back yard and I made a fun Porch Rules Sign and providing a free patio rules SVG file has been on list ever since.

So when I saw Summer was the theme, it kicked me into gear to design a porch rules SVG file for you to use to make your own sign!

If you check out my post on how I made the Patio Rules sign you’ll see I split all of the sayings on to different boards and then put them together. Since I made the sign years ago, I don’t have the same fonts on my computer so that sign will look a little different than the patio rules SVG I have for you.

I think I have been through 3 laptops since then and as such a ton of lost fonts! I seriously think losing my fonts is the hardest part for me when my computer dies…

Materials Needed for Summer Sign

Cricut or other Cutting machine
Outdoor vinyl
Wood Sign

Within the Porch Rules SVG file I wanted to give you the option of Patio Rules or Porch Rules so you’ll see both of them when you download the file.

You can use any Cricut machine to make this sign. Once you upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space, simply ungroup it.

Then you can move the lines around, delete any you don’t want and work with them separately. You can also unlock the ratio aspect and make the words taller or shorter to fit your own style.

Cut out the wording in vinyl and apply it to a wood sign with transfer tape.

Hang it up outdoors on your patio and enjoy!
