I have finally found the best vinyl transfer paper for crafting! This product has saved me countless hours, headaches, and frustration!!
I just had to share the best vinyl transfer paper for crafting that I finally found. This stuff changed my life!!
I have spent years using different vinyl transfer paper and fighting with it. I don’t know how many projects I screamed at and wanted to give up because the vinyl wasn’t coming off the transfer paper or sticking too much!
I tried different kinds of Cricut transfer paper which worked ok and Dollar Store contact paper to save money and Walmart brand.
They all had their pros and cons but all still took a lot of my time until I found this: Angel Crafts 12″ by 8′ Transfer Paper Tape Roll
This stuff changed my life!!! I no longer wrestle with the transfer paper and swear at it!
This has taken hours off the time it takes to make things. The vinyl sticks to the paper easily and then transfers overs and releases from it easily. No more sweating, crying, cursing, throwing things, etc…!!!
The only downside is that it’s not totally clear. It’s a cloudy white but you can still see through it.
If I need to layer something small and precise sometimes I’ll use the clear Cricut paper to layer on top and then use the Angel Paper to transfer the whole image.
Here is what the tape looks like in action when I was building a DIY pallet bar table. So you can still see through it and the backing pulls up and leaves the vinyl where it’s supposed to be, hallelujah!!
Here is Transfer Paper Tape Roll when working with tile:
Look how easy that vinyl comes off the transfer paper. I’m in love with it!!! It’s a bit more expensive but I can reuse each piece about three times so it lasts a while.
However, if you are using specialty vinyl like glitter, make sure to use the strong grip transfer tape it comes with. I have learned my lesson on that the hard way.

**Update June 2018** The one drawback I mentioned to this contact tape was the fact that it wasn’t clear. For some projects, having clear contact tape is much easier.
Best Crafts sent me a clear roll to try and I got to say I was impressed with it. Everything for my wood sign transferred easily and it was nice to be able to really see everything clearly too.
