Hi Friends! Today I have a quick post for you on a super easy way to add farmhouse decor on a budget to your house! If you have some old candles around that you don’t like the look of anymore, follow these simple steps to update candles to farmhouse style.
All you need is:
- Burlap – you can use ribbon (click here) or material like I did and cut it to size
- Twine – like the one found here
- Glue
- Old Candles
If you have burlap fabric and need help on the easiest way to cut it straight, you can check out my tutorial here.
I’m a fan of glue sticks so I just put some glue all the way around the candle.
Then just add the burlap on top of it. Apply a little more glue to the end of the burlap to stick the top layer down.
Wrap twine around the candle 3-4 times and tie a knot. Cut off the ends and you’re done! Simple, cute, and easy!!
I added the candles to my newly remodeled fireplace! It’s so easy to add farmhouse decor on a budget, right?
I moved them around a few times and finally decided I liked them on the side to add height.
Find out how I easily updated my mantle for cheap here! I absolutely love my new wall, it has opened up the house so much.
