Make a super easy and frugal wire picture holder out of corks and floral wire.
Hi Friends!! In the Spring, I was in charge of decorating 12 tables for our monthly Ladies Night Out at church. My goal was to make 12 centerpieces that were inexpensive and colorful!
You might remember the 12 tables I decorated for Easter with cute DIY wood signs and Dollar Tree Easter baskets I made over with some chalk paint. As little as I spent on those table decorations, I think I even spent less on these ones!
I love a good competition with myself to see how I can create all new decor for the least amount of money. Please tell me I’m not the only one!
If you are a bit of a hoarder like me, then I’m sure there are so many items in your recycle bin or craft storage that are waiting to be updated and used for a fun reason. Take stock of what you have every so often!
Easy Centerpiece Ideas
We have about 12 16 x 16 picture frames that we put on the center of the tables. We change out the paper (where the picture would go) every few months to match our themes. I usually get rolls of brown wrapping paper from the Dollar Tree and line them with that.
Then I make a few things to put on them. One of the items I knew I wanted, was something with a bible verse on it.
So, I decided to use some stuff I had around my house and ended up putting together this wire picture holder DIY that held printed bible verses mounted on cardstock.
These DIY photo holders super easy to make and can be changed out with photos or any other printables. I still have a few in my house! They can also be given out as hostess gifts after the dinner is over.
This is probably the shortest tutorial I’ve ever done because these are super easy!

- corks – We save all of our corks because I love to use them for crafts. I even had enough for us to make ornaments out of them at my ornament holiday party. If you don’t drink as much wine as we do, ask people! Friends are always willing to save corks and wine bottles.
- floral wire
- hot glue gun
- ribbon
- twine (optional)
How to Make Wire Picture Holder Stands
I have bags of corks that people give me and I really wanted to start using them up.
Simply hot glue 3 corks together. Then just hot glue a little ribbon around them and you can add a couple of wraps of twine if you’d like.
I just used some floral wire. I cut it in half and then wrapped it around my finger a couple of times to get the top holder and then twisted it around itself. Stick it in one of the corks and you’re done!
I got these FREE adorable printable bible verses over at The Mountain View Cottage. Click here to visit her blog and grab the file of a whole bunch of different printable verses for yourself!
I printed them on glossy brochure paper to make them as picture like as possible. I cut them out and used double-sided tape to glue them to coordinating cardstock. Then I left a little edge and cut the cardstock.
I placed two of these wire picture holder on each table along with a spray painted wine bottle (tutorial here!) and a mason jar wrapped with ribbon and filled with daffodils. So easy and frugal, but provides a great pop of color and fun!
Each hostess got to go home with one of the spray-painted wine bottles, flowers and the wine cork picture holder with a scripture card. And they loved all of it!
