Instant download of You’ve Been Gobbled printable directions and sign to start or continue a fun Thanksgiving tradition with neighbors or friends!
Hey Friends! With another holiday coming up, I knew I need to make you new “You’ve Been” signs!
And this time it’s all about Thanksgiving. You’ve Been Gobbled, lol! Think of it as you’ve been booed Thanksgiving version!
Download this You’ve Been Gobbled free printable below and spread some fun treats and love to neighbors, friend’s houses, coworkers, or even students.
It’s so easy to gobble someone! All you need are the You’ve Been Gobbled sign and direction sheet, some homemade or store-bought treats, a basket or bag, and some stealthy plan!
This fun tradition is similar to You’ve Been Booed during Halloween, You’ve Been Elfed for Christmas, and You’ve Been Egged during Easter. You are secretly giving others little goodies and then they are to pay it forward by leaving small gifts for others as part of a Thanksgiving neighborhood game.
Gobbling is a great way to start a fun neighborhood tradition that leads up to Thanksgiving Day (before the crazy Christmas season)!

How to Gobble Someone
The basis of a neighborhood or workplace “gobble” is to spread treats and a little seasonal cheer to others in secret like a Thanksgiving “boo”. And the best part is, the whole family can get in on this fun activity!
If you don’t have this fun tradition in your neighborhood yet during this particular time of year, you should start it!
Usually, one neighbor starts the Gobbling at the beginning of November by leaving a surprise gift and printable signs at someone’s front door.
Depending on which Thursday Thanksgiving falls on that particular year, you might have to start November 1st to get it through your neighborhood or workplace since it takes quite a few weeks for the gobbles to spread throughout the neighborhood.
The How: One person puts together two Gobble baskets filled with treats, simple decor, favors, etc, and puts the gobble PDF into both.
The gobble sheets are two free gobble printables (download button below). The first sheet states “You’ve Been Gobbled” and outlines the directions of how to proceed.
Then the second sheet is the free gobbled sign that the recipient hangs up in a prominent place (like a window or on the front door) that says “We’ve Been Gobbled” or “I’ve Been Gobbled”.
The really fun part of this tradition is the secrecy and trying to guess who gobbled you. Kids love to guess who they think doorbell ditched them!
The other fun part is leaving it on a doorstep and not getting caught. The kids have so much fun coming up with a plan on whose house they are going to gobble and waiting for it to get dark.
Then they’ll sneak up and leave it on the doorstep and knock (or ring the doorbell) and run to take cover. (I’d recommend rotating kids so each family member can have a chance to leave a gobble bag!
Once the recipients get their Gobble grab bag, they have two days to print out the You’ve Been Gobbled printables, put together new buckets, and deliver them. Then watch for all the gobble sheets go up in windows all throughout the month!
